Fukuoka Tower

At a height of 234 meters (nearly 768 feet), this is the tallest beach tower in Japan. It was built in celebration of the city’s 100th anniversary using 8,000 half mirrors and is also the symbol tower of The Asia Pacific Exhibition Yokatopia ’89. Visitors can overlook Fukuoka City and Hakata Bay from an observation room 123 meters (just over 400 feet) high, and the view at night is also spectacular. Enjoy the tower’s illumination during the Valentine’s Day, Star Festival and Christmas seasons, as well as a variety of events year round.
