Futsukaichi Hot Springs (Chikushino City Tourism Association)

Steeped charm and boasting a history spanning over 1300 years, the Futsukaichi Hot Springs were the base of the travelers of Chikushino area, as famous patrons include Otomo-no-Tabito, a Manyo (the oldest anthology of Japanese poetry) poet, and renowned Meiji Era novelist Natsume Soseki, who composed there during his honeymoon. The springs have recently gained popularity amongst women.
*About the Springs: Active element – radium (trace amounts; simple radioactive spring); effective in treating burns, cuts, skin problems, arteriosclerosis, neuralgia, joint pain, muscle pain, chronic digestive disease, hemorrhoids, and poor circulation.
