Tamatareguu, Daizenji

It is said that Tamatareguu was built to honor Sukune Takenouchi when empress Jingu presided. Oniyo(Demon Night) is one of the three major fire events held on January,7th, in which half-naked men wind through the shrine carrying large burning torches. Oniyo is designated as a national important intangible folk cultural asset.
Tamatareguu(shrine) was built in 672.
