Cho-on Falls Park

Cho-on Falls Park is one of the Top 100 Water Source Forests in Japan. The park was established in a valley featuring what are called “the Three Falls of Kose”: Cho-on Falls, Uogaeri Falls and Onobuchi Falls. Because the reverberation of the water falling from a height of 27 meters (88.5 feet) creates a natural melody, the waterfall was named “Cho-on (Articulation) Falls”.
The natural whirlpool is open to the public for free during the summer (July and August) and many families visit it every day! Stores selling local specialties are also open. Enjoy “somen nagashi” (streaming noodles) while relaxing to the sound of the waterfalls.
