Autumn foliage at Sugino-baba in Akazuki

Renowned for its beauty of cherry blossoms in spring, Akazuki is also a place of stunning foliage during autumn. The outside view from the tea houses along the street of Sugino-baba is nothing short of breathtaking. Proceed down the road, and it will lead you to the kuromon gate. The scene there displays a beautiful contrast of some 20 trees in red and yellow on the backdrop of the dark charcoal colors of the gate unfolding right in front of your eyes.
