Tanushimaru Furusato Kaikan (Kappa, an imaginary animal)

Tanushimaru is known for the Kappa (an imaginary animal). The station building at Tanushimaru was rebuilt in 1992 and designed with the Kappa’s gesture of it holding its chin in its hands. The Kappa’s head is used as the Tanushimaru Furusato Kaikan. The second floor is used as a reference room for the Kappa. You can spend time here and see a lot of pictures and displays, while waiting for the train.
Tanushimaru is appealing to people as the town of the Kappa. Displays of the Kappa are everywhere in Tanushimaru.
