Japanese persimmon picking
The city of Asakura is a leading producer of Japanese persimmon in Japan. There are many varieties of Japanese persimmon. These include the Nishimura variety, the Izu variety and the Matsumoto variety. From the beginning of November, the Fuyu variety can be harvested. Taste testing is permitted.

From the beginning of the season till October 31st: 550 yen per kg.
From November till the beginning of December: 500 yen per kg.

Cost: From 500 yen per kg.
Number of pickers allowed:30 to 50.
Guide dogs permitted.
