Yame Central Tea Garden
With its gentle slopes built using the land modification method of construction, the roughly 70-hectare (170-acre) Yame Central Tea Garden is symbolic of the Yame area itself. Yame is Fukuoka’s most profitable mass tea production region and is steadily achieving success through joint projects ranging from production to distribution. The garden also received the Emperor’s Cup at the Festival of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in 1979.
