Fruit Picking in Kyushu Apple Village
Kyushu Apple Village utilizes 22 hectares of the slanted mountainside of Mt. Umami, where farmers cultivate Japanese pears and apples. The orchard is for tourism purposes; farmers do not sell their produce on the market but rather sell it to produce stands, ship it to other districts and leave the rest for tourists to enjoy! Do you like pears? Then try the 6 varieties of pears here! Some of them are the Shinsui and Kosui varieties! What? You do not like pears?! Then try the 6 varieties of apples! Some of them are the Tsugaru and Akagi varieties! Also, try Kaki (Japanese persimmon) picking from the end of September till the end of November!
