Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History and Human History

Three museums (the Natural History Museum, History Museum and Archaeology Museum) were combined to form the Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History and Human History, which opened in the Fall of 2002. Boasting a roughly 6,100 square meter (about 65,660 square foot) exhibition space, it is one of the largest museums in western Japan! The museum is divided into three zones: the “Natural History Zone”, the “History Zone” and the “Interaction Zone”.
