Moji Port Festival
The Moji area is wrapped up in a festive atmosphere during this two-day event! The Moji Port Festival is packed with events associated with Moji Port, such as the sale of bananas (which is said to have originated at Moji Port), cruises aboard the Japan Coast Guard’s patrol vessel (reservations required), a vendor stamp collecting giveaway in the Mojiko Retro Area, and much, much more! The festival reaches its climax with the General Dance on Saturday (in which local companies and public offices also participate), and the Celebratory Parade on Sunday, in which about 2,500 citizens participate.
