Hakata Dolls Bikenkougeisha

The manufacturing of Hakata dolls started in 1933 (Showa 8). Starting in 1968 (Showa 43) as a limited company, today it has reached the Institute of Fine Arts. The traditional handicraft of Hakata dolls was born 400 years ago. In its history, craftsmanship has been honed over the single-minded passion of the puppeteers. In addition, to show essence of the beauty and the mind, our exhibition features excellent works. This famous Hakata spot is visited by many overseas tourists as well as Japanese tourists. Please feel free to visit us.
