Mekari Park – the Second Observation Deck

Mekari Park is a popular spot for bird watchers and hanami goers. Situated at the western tip of Setonaikai National Park, the park is 36 hectares in size and only 700 meters away from Honshu. Its large observation deck gives a spectacular view of the Kanmon Straits and the Kanmon Bridge. Also featured here are some 1,400 murals made up of Arita porcelain. The panoramic view from the top of the ruins of Moji Castle is also something to be admired. The sunrise and sunset from this spot are a must!
