The sparkling firework which adds a taste to the Japanese summer. Tsutsui Tokimasa Toy Fireworks Plant produces that kind of toy fireworks. Mr. Tsutsui Tokimasa whose name is on the store name is the first owner. At present, the second owner, Mr. Masao manages the store. The sparkling fireworks are manufactured by only two plants in Japan. Tsutsui Tokimasa Toy Fireworks Plant also provides the sparkling fireworks in a paulownia box for a gift. Skill is required to put gunpowder on a Japanese paper and roll it up. The fireworks are made by skillful masters. It is said that the length of firing time depends on the way to roll Japanese paper up. There is another variety of sparkling firework called Subote, which gunpowder is put on the tip of straw, besides one made by being wrapped with a Japanese paper. As the third generation, Mr. Ryota says, “Now, only our plant produces Subote in Japan”, the plant is valuable. The fireworks are said to be manufacturable only in the dry, cold season. The 7-meter-wide Niagara is very popular for camping. Besides, there are many varieties of fireworks which children can enjoy. The fireworks are distributed to toy stores nationwide and also sold at the owner’s home in summer.
