Daikanso

At Daikanso visitors can enjoy the gentle, elegant, famous Futsukaichi hot springs which has gushed out for 1,300 years. This hot spring is also mentioned in the Manyoshu (the oldest collection of Japanese poetry). The fresh, simple alkaline hot springs have a reputation for being effective in treating rheumatism, muscle pain, and exhaustion. Daikanso also houses a family bath (there is a fee; reservation necessary). Lodgers can relax in Japanese style guest rooms and enjoy full course meals cooked by a chef. It is a nice way to spend your time lounging while admiring a gorgeous Japanese garden. Since it is close to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine and Kyushu National Museum, why not stay at Daikanso and enjoy these cultural assets while leisurely taking your time?
