Kyushu Geibun Kan Museum

A center for art and cultural interactions, Kyushu Geibun Kan Museum opened in front of Kyushu Shinkansen Chikugo Funagoya Station is receiving attention as the first ”train station in a park” in Japan. It is surrounded by the nature of the biggest park in Fukuoka Prefecture ”Chikugo Regional Park” and various events relating to art, culture, experience and exchange are being held through out the year. The world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma helped designed this impressive building and it is in the news. A large wall painting finished by Tokyo University of the Arts and other works produced by famous artists are also on display.
