Kanayama Hydrangea Garden
You can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and hydrangeas during the rainy season. For over 10 years, town volunteers and municipal employees have worked together to make this a famous spot for hydrangeas. There are over 7,000 hydrangeas of 15 types that bloom in red, blue, light blue, and faint purple. Atop the viewing platform at the back of the garden you’ll be treated to a sweeping view of the gorgeous Tagawa Basin. Entry is free. Free parking is available. Located in the Kanayama Industrial Park, which is somewhat close to Roadside Station Itoda (which is famous for its ’coal ice cream.’)
