Nyoirinji – Summer Festival
Nyoirinji is commonly known as ”Kaeru-dera Temple” ( Frog Temple). A big frog collection of 5,000 stone statues in the precinct and 2,000 various frog ornaments in the main hall welcome visitors. During the summer season, many wind bells are dedicated for the summer safety and please the eyes of visitors. At the festival, Goma service (Ritual wood burning service) , a sermon and dancing are offered.
