Mt. Tachibanayama which overlooks the Genkai Sea and Fukuoka City
The perfect mountain for a family hike. From the mountain summit you can see the Genkai Sea and Fukuoka City. The virgin camphor tree forest is a special natural monument. One of the huge camphor trees is over 300 years old, which is spectacular.
Tachibanayama Trailhead Parking Lot ~ Tachibanayama Huge Camphor ~ Summit ~ Tachibanayama Trailhead Parking lot. Walking course is 90 minutes. Altitude 367m, around 2.8km long.
