Metasequoia Boulevard is about 50m in length, surrounding the shop sold local products of Chikujo Town ”Bussankan Metase no Mori” . Metasequoias belong to the cypress tree family, and were originally only discovered as fossils; they were assumed to be an extinct species, but in 1945 they were confirmed to exist within China, and are now referred to as ’living fossils.’ You can enjoy this spot in almost every season, from the sprouting of the first leaves in spring to the falling of the autumn leaves. Gaze at countless falling leaves and glimmering sunlight through the trees amidst the silent forest. Very popular as a photo spot.
