Ohori Park is a city park located at the heart of Fukuoka City and has a beautiful vermilion pavilion located alongside its expansive, scenic pond. For Fukuoka dwellers, this park is popular year-round as a running track or place to relax and people-watch.
Ohori Park is also home to the Fukuoka Art Museum, which displays works from internationally recognized artists, and Ohori Terrace, a traditional Japanese confectionary shop, cafe and kimono rental spot. Across from the museum is also a Japanese garden for those wishing to indulge in a little zen time.
